The successful application of any technology company’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is at the heart of their success, which is why FluidEdge Consulting offers resources to our vendor customers with experience in both traditional and adaptive methodologies. Our technical and operational resources can help our system vendor customers develop and ensure compliance to whatever methodology is required for their respective development shops. We understand the importance of flexibility in methodology given factors of project size, resource experience, technology requirements and other environmental factors. We therefore will work closely with our customers’ staff to develop and implement the best methodology for projects without strict adherence to one way of accomplishing the desired results.
Fluidedge knows that at the heart of every successful project is ensuring that the team is equipped with the tangible as well as intangible resources it needs to accomplish the stated result. The tangible resources needed for every project include artifacts such as documentation and project plans. But the less tangible aspects of the methodology undertaken are often the most important and are also often the most difficult to define and quantify. These include subjects such as the level of staff experience, technology requirements, time constraints and the organization’s values. What is critical to understand is that no project will ever strictly adhere to any one methodology due to these influences and what is almost always true is that project resources must evolve their approach as the project progresses. Agility is key to any methodology…even the strictest waterfall approach projects will require some flexibility at times in order to be truly successful. FluidEdge consultants understand this and will work with our System Vendor customers to apply the correct methodology to their development projects given all of the factors that exist for that project.
